IPARKS Members are invited to submit photos for consideration in the publication of the 2024 IPARKS calendar. Each month of the calendar will feature a photo highlighting an IPARKS Member. This is your opportunity to showcase your district or agency!
IPARKS is excited to announce it is continuing its Exemplary Member Program. Members who qualify will receive a 10% reduction in their calculated rate and a commitment from IPARKS to guarantee the same reduced rate for a three-year period, subject to the terms of the three-year rate guarantee endorsement. Please note that the rate will remain the same for the three-year period, but changes in exposures or limits of coverage may impact the total cost of coverage. Since this program was introduced in 2018, IPARKS has awarded nearly 92% of the IPARKS membership, a testament to our members’ commitment to the safety of Illinois parks, recreation, forest preserves, and conservancies in their communities.
The Grant Program has been expanded to help with the extra expenses incurred due to COVID-19. IPARKS members that have not yet applied for the IPARKS Grant Program this year can apply for funds to be used towards personal protective equipment, disinfectants, protective gear, signage and other items to assist with the ongoing risk management efforts related to COVID-19. As a reminder, every IPARKS member is eligible to receive up to $500, $1,000 or $1,500 based on annual contribution, from the IPARKS Grant Program annually.
Effective January 1, 2021, all IPARKS members’ property coverage is expanded to include Unscheduled Property in the Open with a $100,000 aggregate limit. Unscheduled property includes fences, flagpoles, traffic control devices, sirens, gates, radio or television antennas, traffic or road signs, docks, free-standing lights, light poles and streetlights. Members should continue to list all items on their schedules; this coverage helps to prevent against oversights.
